Filtering Outbound Mail Through Reflexion
You can use Reflexion for your outbound mail (SMTP) server to filter your outbound mail using the following steps:
- Set Reflexion to Allow SMTP Authentication
- Set up your outbound server settings in:
Set Reflexion to Allow SMTP Authentication: All Users Regardless of the Email Client Used
First, you will need to verify/change your Reflexion settings to allow SMTP authentication:
- Log in at https://asp-6.reflexion.net/ as a domain administrator
- Choose Enterprise from the top menu (NOTE: if you do not see this, then you are not a domain administrator)
- Choose Enterprise Options/Enterprise Properties from the top menu
- In the Trusted Hosts section, check the checkbox by "Enable SMTP Authentication (required for ISP users)"
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen
To use Reflexion to Filter Your Outbound Mail From Outlook
Next, you'll need to change your outbound (SMTP) mail server in Outlook using the following settings:
- Outbound mail (SMTP) server: asp-6.reflexion.net
- My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication: Yes
- Log on using: Select this radio button
- Username: your email address
- Password: your Reflexion portal password (use the Forgot Password feature at https://asp-6.reflexion.net/ if you need this sent to you)
- Port: 25 (use 587 if your ISP blocks port 25)
- Use SSL: Yes

To use Reflexion to Filter Your Outbound Mail From Thunderbird
Next, you'll need to change your outbound (SMTP) mail server in Thunderbird using the following settings:
- Outbound mail (SMTP) server: asp-6.reflexion.net
- Port: 25 (use 587 if your ISP blocks port 25)
- Use Name and Password: Checked
- Username: your email address
- Use Secure Connection: TLS
To use Reflexion to Filter Your Outbound Mail From Apple Mail.app
Next, you'll need to change your outbound (SMTP) mail server in Apple Mail using the following settings:
- Outgoing Mail server: asp-6.reflexion.net
- Server port: 25 (use 587 if your ISP blocks port 25)
- Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): Checked
- Authentication: Password
- User Name: your email address
- Password: your Reflexion portal password
